PU tipped Legs
After several intensive researches and testing, we decided to use Poly Urethane (PU) as the main material for manufacturing to tip the light stand. PU-tipped legs function as a great shock absorber that is highly elastic. Even if the light stand is accidentally slipped off your hand, this unique material will absorb most of the shocking energy and the light stand will bounce upward after hitting the ground. In addition, the tipping is carved to an angle in order to prevent surface movement, further enhances the overall safety of the light stand.

60-degree wedges and extra Large Footprint
The footprint of Linco stand can be extended to around 60 degrees. Larger footprint light stands have better stability than the smaller footprint ones. Furthermore, unlike the average light stand found on the market that allows users to push the splitter to the very end, causin...g the safety hazard, the upper and lower splitters of the Linco stands are equipped with three 60-degree wedges, functioning as a stopper when pushing the upper splitter. This design allows the light stand to be deployed simply with the release of the turning knob and the push of the upper splitter downward.
Accessory Hooks and Strap Eyelets on Stand Splitters
The upper splitter is designed with three external perpendicular hooks, used for anchoring counter weight bag for increasing stability of the stand. For relocation, a strap can be used to hook strap eyelets along the ring of the upper and lower splitters.

The dimension of the upper three-way splitter is reduced by 40 percent, comparing to the average upper splitter of a regular light stand. In other words, the material for constructing the splitter saves 40 percent of the original material than it would otherwise use to make the same part. This new desig...n helps our company to achieve the goal of being environmentally friendly, to reduce the space needed for transportation, to enhance the portability of the product, and to make the light stand to stand out among other light stands. The dimension of the lower three-way splitter is reduced by 40 percent, comparing to the average upper splitter of a regular light stand. With the interlocking system that enables the light stand legs to be securely locked with the splitter, allowing the stand to travel conveniently and safely. This unique interlocking system helps reduce its overall size (approximately 40% less than its predecessors), bonds the stand as a whole, and strengthens the stands when crushed by external forces.
Turning Knobs
The design of the turning knob is based on the ergonomics, which applies three petals that allow users grab the knob with thumb, index, and middle fingers and twist it with even force. This design makes turning the knob much easier, more convenient, much faster, and greatly reduce the time for closing and... deploying the light stand.
Moreover, the nut threads of the sleeve are specially designed since the outer surface of the nut has three layers of “propeller blades” for clamping the nut and the plastic part together, which helps reduce the possibility of thread stripping after a long period of use.

Middle Nylon Sleeves
For manufacturing the middle sleeve, we used the high intensity nylon, which is a very strong and durable, as the main source of material in order to achieve the product longevity. The reason to use nylon is that it is used to protect the main component, the middle tube. In assessing the product u...sage and its normal wear and tear conditions, we conclude and consider the middle sleeve the expendable parts. Through the replacement of these expendable parts, we are able to extend the lifespan of the product, reduce the need to obsolete the entire product, and decrease the waste produced during the manufacturing process.
Baking varnish
Average light stands use electrophoresis or electroplating when it comes to coating the surface of the light stand. However, this technique will cause the coating to be chipped off as the surface of the light stand is scrapped, further causing the corrosion. The technique we use to process the surface of ...our light stand is through the use of spray paint and heated at 250-Celsius degree. Even though the surface of the product is scraped, this technique will help protect the outer layer of the finishing and make it less vulnerable for corrosion. The dark metallic gray coating will reveal beauty and enhance the value of the product.
Top Mounting Stud
Instead of using the low quality zinc alloy, Linco uses rigid aluminum alloy (Standard Type 18 with ¼ threads) stud, mounting on the very top of the light stand. Every aluminum alloy stud is processed and shaped using the digital controlled lathe, and the variance can be preciously controlled within +-...0.05mm. With our patented metal-shrinking technology, the metal stud is able to be fitted into the metal tube and will completely seal up the gap between the metal tube and the stud. This unique design prevents and eliminates the rod from wobbling or wiggling after a long period of use. Unlike the average studs processed by electroplating, which could be chipped off very easily, the surface of our top metal rod is coated with spray finishing, enhancing the overall quality and the attractiveness of the product. From the safety perspective, the design of our stud allows the stand to be much safer comparing to the conventional design, and increases its longevity. For the “Sentinel” series light stands, we use the premium copper stud, making the parts be more durable and last even longer.
